Sakushijutsu- Bard Arts

Known by many names; minstrel, musician, artist, performer, savant. The Bard is a great asset to any squad, however, they seldom function great on their own because of their own immunity to their own voices. This disadvantage places a Bard in danger if they are on their own because they specialize in buffing and empowering their allies rather than effecting themselves. Though that is not to say they are completely unarmed, even with a single ally they can enable them to fight as if they were a full four man squad.

While most sound based shinobi are considered sirens or harpies because of the nature of the sounds they produce to shred their enemies with a deep internal pain. Bards are considered the anti-thesis to other sound release shinobi and use their songs to create a powerful feeling in their allies empowering them to perform stronger and better than they would alone.

MASTERY

[/b]: As a true show of skill for a Bard, they learn to project their work even further than they originally could spanning great stretches of terrain to reach their allies or unwary targets. This Mastery doubles all song ranges and now allows the Bard to move while performing.


-Tier Two – Breath and Endurance: Further into a Bard's repertoire is the great need for both endurance and persistence. A Bard is treasured for their magnificent skills and assistance on the battlefield, but few have the stamina to keep up with the ebb and flow of war. Great Bards have developed the skill and dexterity to perform their songs for double the amount of time they previously were able to play.


-Tier Three – Duet at Midnight: A truly great musician is capable of combining two different melodies and blending them seamlessly together into a beautiful array of sound and feeling, Master Bards created this musical phenomenon. Through hard work, diligence, and true talent, a Bard may combine two songs they know and perform them together at once granting the effects upon all in range of their voice. Alternatively they may also perform with more power and ferocity behind their music doubling the potency of the song on any who hear the amplified melody. (either effect cannot be used with the first two Masteries)

Also, at this point in a Bard's journey they learn that there will always be more to perform even though they have completed their training. This realization grants them access to the Amplify ability, which bands Bards together and amplifies the effects of a single song they perform in unison.

[/b] Every song requires the Bard to stay still, has a default range of 20 meters in all directions of the user, and have a duration of 5 turns before the user must rest for 2 to regain their strength. Songs may only stack if the user has Amplify. Genjutsu one rank lower and below the rank of the song being played are nullified (A-rank song immune to B-rank genjutsu) this extends to enemies as well however.
