Deep within the Land of the Waterfalls lays a large mountain looking over a large lush stretch of forest. A large waterfall is seen cascading down from the centre of the mountain, disappearing into the deep forest below. The trees are thickly branched which makes it difficult to climb to the top. So the forest alone is very difficult to hike through as the traveler is easily lost in the darkness. Inside the forest lies various pathways. Although only one path will lead you directly toward the actual opening of the waterfall.
Should you succeed in locating the waterfall, you must dive into the small lake until you reach a series of caves. These caves have multiple tunnels much like the pathways hidden within the forest so only a true Shinobi of Takigakure will know the right tunnel to swim through. If these tunnels are not hard enough to travel thorough, some tunnels lead to a dangerous whirlpool which acts as a sort of washing machine which, once entered, is impossible to exit from.
However, once you find the correct tunnel and emerge from it, you will find yourself in a small pond like pool which is warm water rather then the freezing water that you will swim in on the journey to the pool. Inside the cave is a darkened dome-like ceiling with glow worms being the only source of light. Moss and gemstones litter the area around the pool while trees litter the area despite being in an enclosed area. These trees are tall and possess deadly poison needles once touched. However, beyond that you will find a stone wall with the actual gate to the village embedded into the surface. Once you meet the two gatekeepers and is able to gain passage into the gates, you will be able to roam freely around inside Takigakure.
