Nekomata- Feline Mimicry

During the warring era, the Nekomata and Inuzuka clans were one in the same, both combining their abilities to emulate their animal companions and grow stronger together. While each branch of the clan was considered two halves of one whole, their clan was broken apart into two faction clans now known as the Inuzuka and Nekomata due to each branch's alliances. It is often said that this separation is the reason cats and dogs rarely get along. The Nekomata had aligned with the group that came to build the Hidden Star village while the Inuzuka left with their own group.

The Nekomata are nicknamed 'demon cats' on the battlefield for their appearance, while similar to Inuzuka, the Nekomata retain their iris in addition to their now elongated pull while their canines have grown long and sharp. The most noticeable of the Nekomata and Inuzuka traits however are their markings, while the Inuzuka have red downward pointing 'fangs', the Nekomata have long triangular markings that begin just below their ears and end near the base of their orbital sockets almost appearing to point to their nose, while the color is a few shades darker than their hair color. While the Inuzuka's transformations are very noticeable and involved, the Nekomata's are even deeper enveloping the user in their partner's essence.

2. Nekomata can only possess Feline-based Summoning Families.

3. It should be noted that Nekomata possess the ability to hear and smell with efficiency roughly equal to that of a feline (not exactly a canine's level, but very close). This should be remembered.

4. All nin-neko possess their own chakra pools of exactly x1 Massive. Techniques carried out by them are deducted from their pools, not their owner's. Like all things that possess chakra, should a nin-neko's chakra reserve reach zero, they will die. A nin-neko's pool increases by x1 Massive for every additional Massive its owner earns.

5. Nekomata start with a single (1) feline partner using the beast template from Monster Tamer. They also start with Monster Tamer's Basic Tracking, Advanced Common Tracking, Basic Taming and Advanced Mammal Taming. Also the Nekomata may teach their felines clan techniques and melee Taijutsu (not nintaijutsu), although the Nekomata must use their own EXP and it is recoverable upon character death.

6. All Nekomata automatically gain Monster Tamer as a Profession in order to add to their pack/pride. However they may only tame feline based creatures and they also benefit from having their 'pack' requirement dropped to 1000 per feline.

MASTERY
-Tier One – Swift as a Coursing River: Very early on in their training, the Nekomata learn to amplify their speed to match the extreme levels that their cats emulate, although it is done in levels. At the first stage, the user is able to match the speed of house cats and smaller felines such as the lynx (+200% Speed). They also learn to amplify their own senses to a similar level to their partners, enabling them to track the faintest scent through a hurricane.


-Tier Two – Mysterious as the Moon: Now maturing as a Nekomata clan member, the user will be able to match the speed of the fastest cat in the world with little effort (+400% Speed). Not only that but they also learn a very unique and somewhat strange ability. For a single Low, the Nekomata may manipulate their body to squeeze through small places and out of certain kinds of restraints. Lastly, the Nekomata will receive the option of learning the “Tsuuga” technique (exp will count towards Nekomata).


-Tier Three – Strength of a Great Typhoon: Having reached the pinnacle of the Nekomata hierarchy, the clansmen will display almost inhuman ability in relation to felines. These rare masters of the Nekomata clan hold unbelievable power and display it with an expert finesse that few others could even dream of allowing them to vastly increase the power of their “Claw” techniques (by 2 ranks). Attaining this Mastery also allows the user to learn the “Gatsuuga” technique (exp will count towards Nekomata) and reduces the chakra consumption of all Nekomata techniques by 1 tier.

Neko-Ato: Shikyaku no Jutsu (Cat Style: Four-Legs Technique)

This technique, like the Inuzuka's, is the foundation of all Nekomata Nintaijutsu shown by the clan. By channeling their chakra throughout themselves they will allow their muscles to shift into a much more efficient and dynamic form allowing them to fight in a much fiercer much more aggressive style. This change in physiology also effects the chemical balance in the user's mind allowing them to perceive actions and react far quicker than others even with the same level of speed.

Note: This technique grants +300% speed and reflexes, however, this speed increase does not stack with any Taijutsu Class perk. Instead, it simply replaces it for the duration of this technique being active. While this technique is active, Ninjutsu techniques may not be used.


Jinjuu Bunshin (Man-Beast Clone)

Like the Inuzuka's Beast-Man Clone technique, the Jinjuu Bunshin calls the companion to the user as they execute a swift transformation turning their companion into a copy of themselves, although they appear in the “Neko-Ato: Shikyaku no Jutsu” appearance of the user and thus can be easily told apart if the user themselves is not already in the state.

A very basic technique that does little for the user other than give them a wicked manicure. As a Nekomata, the clansman and nin-neko will be able to lengthen and sharpened their claws enough to make them constant razors at all times. While this hardly note worthy, it is a useful technique allowing the Nekomata or companion to saver most bonds near-instantly.

Note: This technique allows the Nekomata or companion to cut through D-rank and lower materials.


Kotsu (Crossing Claw)

As the most basic technique of the Nekomata, Crossing Claw is their equivalent to the Inuzuka's Tsuuga technique. By generating chakra within the user's claws they create a light blue glow that allows them to prepare their attack, once enough chakra has gathered streams of blue chakra will streak back across the back of the user's hand and arm looking like blades. When the user lashes forward these energy blades will be launched extremely close together striking a target consecutively dealing a great amount of damage

Note: This attack is capable of traveling up to 10 meters away from the user and can cut through B-rank and lower defenses.


Tsukotsu (Claw Crossing Claw)

Following Kotsu is Tsukotsu, beginning the same way, the user and possibly their companion will charge their claws full of chakra creating the same streaming blades of energy on both hands now before lashing forward producing a x-shaped wave with the streaming blades. These blades are capable of devastating damage if they hit their target dead center, and even more if their partner emulates the attack with them.

Note: This cross-shaped wave is capable of traveling up to 10 meters away and shearing through 2 B-rank defenses in a row without losing its strength. If used with a partner, it costs x1 Mid for the user and their partner and the waves can cut through 3 B-rank defenses or an A-rank.


Tsutentsu (Claw Rotating Claw)

Using their unique stream blades created from their deadly claws, the user will lash out with their claws merging and twisting each blade from each finger into a decimating saw of chakra and pressure. This saw is easily capable of decimating nearly any materiel that chooses to stand in its path with little resistance. If performed with their partner, the user creates a slashing twister capable of clearing a path straight ahead of them.

Note: This technique creates a 1 meter wide saw blade of pressure capable of traveling up to 15 meters away and destroying B-rank and lower defenses. If used with a partner, it costs x1 Mid for the user and their partner and creates a 5 meter twister with the same abilities.


Jujin Yugamu-Henge: O-Shishi (Man-Beast Warp Transformation: King of Lions)

Often considered the upgraded form of the Nekomata's All-Fours technique, King of Lions allows the user to not only shift their musculature to make themselves more nimble and agile to emulate their felines, but also allows them to draw on their partner's chakra to draw in a bit of their essence and gain their traits. This creates a fine layer of fur across the user's body in the same color and pattern of fur as their partner in addition to creating far more dangerous claws. The user's eyes will also take on the same gold or green color that their partner has.

Note: Requires the Tier Two Nekomata Mastery. This technique grants +400% speed and reflexes as well as +200% Strength, however, this increase does not stack with any Taijutsu Class perk. Instead, it simply replaces it for the duration of this technique being active. While this technique is active, Ninjutsu techniques may not be used.


Tsushitsu (Claw Lion Claw)

Considered the greatest version of the Nekomata's Tsukotsu technique, Tsushitsu is only accessible to the strongest Nekomata in their strongest forms. Once the user has entered the King of Lions form they can generate blood red streams of energy from the claws reaching up to reach their shoulders. These streams function as true blades as well allowing the user to battle and block with them as if they are real blades. Though their true function is the same as their precursor technique. By striking forward the user will launch the blades in a violent flurry creating an expanding wall of cutting force capable of decimating anything that stands in its way. If this is used with their partner, the wall expands out all around the user and their partner rather than just in one direction.

Note: Only usable in the “Jujin Yugamu-Henge: O-Shishi” or “Jujin Yomi-Henge: Kami no Neko” states. The blades created by this technique are capable of withstanding B-rank and lower attacks and will last for 5 turns or until they are fired. When launched, the blades will create a 15x10 meter glowing red wave of cutting force capable of cutting through A-rank and lower materials. If used with their partner, this cutting wave spreads out all around the user and their partner up to 15 meters away.


Jujin Yomi-Henge: Kami no Neko (Man-Beast Final Transformation: Feline God)

Chakra Consumption: Massive (Initial Activation)
The penultimate technique of the Nekomata, Kami no Neko expands even further than O-Shishi making the user an even deeper connection with their feline companion. Activating this technique will cause a permanent transformation in the user, by drawing more of their partner's essence into their body they will take on a more cat-like appearance than before; their ears will shift further up their head and change to become more accurate and far more attuned, a tail will grow from the base of their spine that is dextrous enough to handle small weapons like kunai, their bodies will be covered in fur that covers enough of their body to 'clothe' themselves, lastly their arms and legs will shift to become far furrier and their fingers will become wicked claws.

Note: Requires the Tier Three Nekomata Mastery. This technique grants +400% speed and reflexes as well as +300% Strength. Once activated, the user is permanently in this state, and while their new hands no longer let them weave seals, their natural synchronicity allows them to charge all of their techniques instead.


Warutsu (Dividing Claw)

Accompanying the user's ultimate form is their ultimate attack, Dividing Claw generates a giant amount of chakra in their claws before projecting the chakra as black streaming blades that span up along the user's arms. These claws are capable of being used as solid weapons allowing the user to block and defend with them as if they were steel. Thought, like Tsushitsu, this technique's true power is displayed when launched as the black wave viciously carves a path through anything before it, this wave drastically expands as it travels even capable of demolishing a small army.

Note: Only usable by the Nekomata in the “Jujin Yomi-Henge: Kami no Neko” state. This technique creates a 10 meter long and 2 meter wide cutting wave that will double in size every 5 meters it travels from the user while the maximum distance it can travel is 20 meters from the user. This attack is also capable of decimating S-rank and lower defenses. This technique may only be used once every 2 turns.
