Hyouton, or Ice Element, takes the form of Ice attacks and defenses. This elemental style has been made famous by ninja from Hidden Snow, though never to the level of the select few bloodlines which have been able to control it even better. Hyouton is formed through the simultaneous usage of Water and Wind styles, allowing the freezing factor to occur quickly.

[/b] This jutsu can detonate up to 5 creations at once, however the chakra cost must be paid for each creation the user wishes to destroy. This jutsu can destroy ice creations made by someone else, however a flat 1x High cost must be paid on top of the normal cost to give the chakra the ability to overcome enough of the other person’s chakra (or outright disrupt it depending on the construct) to allow its destruction.

Small objects range from kunai sized to something the size of a typical human head. Average sized objects would be anything beyond the small’s highest range up about an average human’s size/weight. Large are typically anything beyond that, to roughly a 3x3x3 metre block of ice. Massive is anything beyond that. The dimensions are flexible, so if something is about 4 metres high but 2 metres thick on both width and depth, then it won’t be considered massive for the purpose of chakra consumption. Another example would be that most typical one-handed weapons would be considered small as they are usually considerably longer than they are thick. Use of common sense should be applied when determining the chakra consumption as failure to properly account for it will lead to either the jutsu failing (too little) or the jutsu burning too much chakra (too much).

Note that this jutsu only works on ice creations. It will not work on snow or anything that isn’t predominantly ice.

Hyoutenka Ame (Sub-Zero Rainfall)

[/b] The imprisoning effect is not instantaneous, but the more raindrops that make contact with the body, the harder it will be for the victim to move. Each post that goes by with this jutsu active, victims will lose 0.5x movement speed and strength (effectively immobilising average shinobi within two posts, while physically stronger people may still move at that stage, though losing 1x speed and strength unless the glaze is removed.) The jutsu can last longer than the usual length of one post by holding the seal. Using Freezing Guard can protect the user (or anyone else able to learn that jutsu) from this technique as the rain won’t freeze on them, and any means of raising the temperature be it external or internal can cause the glaze to melt (the process becomes faster once the jutsu ends). A burst of chakra (3x Mid) can be released in order to break free, or activation of Gates or Bijuu will free the victim as well (however if the jutsu is still active, the glaze can reform). Lastly, while this jutsu is ice based, it cannot be shattered by Konagona Kouri due to its rather unique method of forming.

[/b] The narwhal is 20 meters long and 8 meters tall. The user is required to have a preexisting source of ice or snow to create it because of its large size. Because it is made out of ice, it can swim quickly through the water and can even treat deep snow in the same way. It is very durable, although susceptible to strong fire attacks.

Makyou Hyoushou (Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors)

[/b]: This ability takes a full turn to prep; the target must effectively stay within the ten meter range while this preparation occurs. The mirrors will emerge abruptly and without warning, anchoring itself around the user and victim. The mirrors can’t be moved after the handseals are formed.
